For iPhone and iPad

  • At the start, launch the Mail app on your device.
  • Then, hit the icon of Write Mail from the bottom-right edge of your screen.
  • Now, type a name.
  • Search the old contact once the suggested email listing appears.
  • Next, tap the info icon located just after the name.
  • Press the option “Remove from Recents.”

For PC or Mac

  • First of all, browse the iCloud site using the desired web browser.
  • Then, type the sign-in credentials.
  • Now, hit the Mail application there.
  • Choose the Compose tab from the uppermost right side edge.
  • Enter the Email ID or contact name that you like to remove.
  • Hover the mouse over contacts and then hit the red Remove tab.
  • Verify your action by tapping the option “Remove from Recents.”

Procedure to Remove all Contacts from Recents in Mail App on Mac

Follow these straightforward steps to delete all the contacts from the Recents section in the Mail app:

  • First of all, open the Safari web browser.
  • Then, reach the Safari menu directly from the menu bar.

  • Now, reach the home screen of iCloud using the web browsing app.
  • Type the login details and proceed.

  • Navigate to the Developer menu there.
  • Choose the option “Show JavaScript Console.”

  • Once the Delete option appears on your screen, hit the Delete Code tab.

Procedure to Update a Contact with New Email ID

Pursue these steps to update a contact with the new email ID in the Mail app:

  • At the start, expand the Mail application on your device.
  • Then, hit the particular email with the new contact.
  • After that, press the Email ID.
  • In case you wish to update your mail ID to the specific contact you already have, then you can hit the option “Add to Existing Contacts” and then choose a contact you already have.
