In Boruto, Team 7 received a brutal beating from Deepa, which proved to be their most embarrassing defeat. Mitsuki has got seriously injured, which left him in intensive care. Sarada has been disappointed ever since, so she has been consistently working on Sharingan to improve her skills. However, all is not well in Sarada’s family as Sakura (her mother) is concerned about her well-being. Sakura is not wrong; she understands that her daughter is pushing herself too much, and her training might have long term consequences. However, she has luckily found a mentor who is aware of her shortcomings and vulnerabilities. It appears that she might soon be able to get over her defeat from Deepa and become a much better fighter.
Surprisingly, it is Sakura herself who shows up to one of
Sarada’s training sessions. Sarada believes that her mother thinks she is not
strong enough to be a shinobi, but Sakura only wants to see if her daughter’s
resolve is strong enough. She teaches Sarada not to take her defeats so
negatively but instead learn from them. They eventually start sparring against
each other, and Sarada is surprised by the power of her mother’s punches.
Sakura used to be a medical ninja under Tsunade, so it is foolish to
underestimate her. Her strength is too great for her daughter, and it seems
that she is the ideal mentor to teach her the art of being an honorable
shinobi.
Sakura makes it very clear with her attacks that she is not
going to hold back. She pushes Sarada back with each of her attacks, and even
Sharingan doesn’t prove to be of much help. Sarada soon realizes that her
mother is fighting to help her become a better and more responsible ninja. It
helps her realize the love that her mother has for her and restores the trust
between them. Soon, Sarada starts copying the movements of Sakura, which
surprisingly increases her chakra movement. Both attack each other with punches
that cancel each other, leaving a crater in the terrain. It seems that just in
one session Sarada has improved under her new mentor.
The explosion that their punches create is massive and echoes
throughout Konoha. Sakura is impressed by her daughter’s adaptability but
advises her not to rely on the opponent like this. She admits that it’s just a
start, and there are many such lessons to come. Sasuke realizes that if Sarada
follows her mother’s methods, she will get results faster, and even though
Sakura has had her insecurities in the past, the way she beat Kaguya proves how
skilled she is. It appears that the Uchiha family has finally sorted their
conflicts, and we might see Sakura become much more involved in her daughter’s
training, which is an excellent thing since she had been a skilled ninja back
in her prime.
