Ask Hardcore Star Wars fans, and they will even tell you names and about the most minor of fighter pilots of the original trilogy. However, there are some significant questions that we can say never got answered anywhere, either intentionally or otherwise. The answer to these questions is not even known by the most hardcore Star Wars fans. In this article, we present some of the biggest unanswered questions throughout Star Wars.
What
Happened to Barriss Offee?
Barriss Offee was sent to prison after she betrayed the Jedi
Order and bombed their temple, and killed Jedi and other civilians. She got
kicked out by the Jedi Order, her status as a Padawan got snatched, and then
she was left to rot for her remaining life.
Are there chances that she could have escaped or does she remain
imprisoned until her death? No one heard about Barriss Offee’s fate since then.
Where
Did the Prophecy Come From?
Despite having significant importance throughout the films, Star
Wars never explained where did the Prophecy come from. A majority of
individuals believe that Anakin was actually the Chosen One. He brought
“balance” to the Force.
There were many Jedi and only two Sith before Anakin turned to
the Dark Side. But after his turn, there were only two surviving Jedi and Sith
respectively.
The fans of Star Wars have spent a lot of their time wondering
about the Prophecy just like the Jedi have.
Is
Palpatine Anakin’s “Father?”
Palpatine, during the Tragedy of Darth Plagueis The Wise, tells
Anakin about the Sith Lord who can use the Force in order to create life. This
led to a strong implication that the Darth Plagueis was the master of
Palpatine. Darth Plagueis trained Palpatine in the Dark Side, yet Palpatine
murdered him.
But we have learnt in Phantom Menace, that Anakin had no father
and his mother tells Qui-Gonn that she carried him, gave him birth, raised him.
She did all this without having even the slightest idea, from where he came.
Many fans believe that Palpatine impregnated Shmi with the
Force, so as to create Anakin. Much like Shmi, the fans will never be able to
find out the truth about Anakin’s parents.
Does
L3-37 Control the Millennium Falcon?
Star Wars introduced L3-37 in a story where they portrayed the
L3-37 as a rebellious droid that is obsessed with liberating her fellow robots.
L3-37 gets killed on a Kessel mission.
Later, to endow the ship with a better navigation system, Lando
uploaded her consciousness into the Millennium Falcon.
This simply means that L3-37 was Millennium Falcon’s part, the
entire time of Han Solo’s with the ship, which raises the question that Han was
controlling the Falcon up to how much level. Was he talking to the L3-37? Even
though Han Solo might be the best pilot as he presents himself, but up to how
much level? Was it L3-37, that was controlling and effectively flying the ship
for Han, throughout the mission? Should we thank L3 for Han’s successes?
Why
Were the Sith Gone for So Long?
In order to form a rival Force using a faction, Sith splintered
off of the Jedi, during the time of the Old Republic. Sith and Jedi went to
war, and after the defeat of Sith, Jedi formed the Rule of Two, which stated:
only a Sith Master and Apprentice may coexist.
Sith then had been gone for over a millennium, by the time of
the Phantom Menace and they stayed hiding and decided not to appear until
Palpatine and Maul’s plan comes to fulfillment in The Phantom Menace. So, where
were they, for all that time? Fans think they might have been planning
something.
What
Lies in The Unknown Regions?
One of the greatest mysteries in Star Wars is the Unknown
Regions. Even Jedi don’t know about the threats that this unexplored region of
the galaxy contains.
The Thrawn novels recently introduced a species from the Unknown
Regions, named Grysk who enslave other beings. They corrupt others desire,
memories, hopes and fears, to enslave them and then these Grysk use their
victims, to fulfill their needs. These victims often fight against themselves
and die for their Grysk masters. The Unknown Regions have a lot to offer like
the Grysks and who knows how much more dangerous other things could be.
