Since her stint in the 2016 film "Spider-Man: Homecoming," Zendaya has garnered a fan following, who love to follow her activities on social media. However, the actress (now also renowned for the film "Malcolm & Marie") has revealed that there were times when using an Instagram account that she would feel noticeable levels of anxieties.
In her recent interview,
the actress also added that it was imperative for her that she must be the one
to use her own social media and no other representative.
Zendaya became honest
about her social media worries during her recent conversations with the
"HEPA in Conversation" podcast. In her interview, she revealed that
though she has managed to entertain fans on her social media, she did face a
lot of challenges while keeping up with everything.
One of the important
things she mentioned in the interview was the fact that only she uses her
Instagram account, and she added that it is imperative that only she uses her
Instagram account because it is essential that one must maintain some degree of
integrity on that part.
She clearly revealed in
her interview that she is very particular about her Instagram account.
She further added that
her affiliations towards social media have evolved over the years. When she was
younger, she used to be obsessed with her phone and certainly more active than
she is today. However, over the course of time, she has realized that she does
overthink everything a little when she is more active on social media, and if
she does not keep a tap on things, she ends up spending a significant amount of
time on her phone.
And by saying that, she
did reveal that spending a lot of time on her phone does make her feel some
degrees of anxiety.
Zendaya added that
though her affiliations with her Instagram account is her personal business and
it's her own thing, she does try to maintain a little distance from it. She
also shared that her fans, who truly care about her, do respect her decision
and value her need for privacy. She did add that her fans should feel that she
is always there, and it is just a need to exist beyond the realms of social
media and have fun outside the internet.
Zendaya again remarked
that it is really her using her phone and not her representatives, and she
sometimes gets away from it so that she is not getting sucked into her phone.
At the Sundance Film
Festival, the actress also talked about investing money on the film
"Malcolm & Marie," so that her colleagues from Euphoria must have
something to do with the pandemic. She added that it was her first production venture,
and it turned out to be a really good experience because of the low resources
stricken by the pandemic.
Zendaya will most
definitely be seen in Spider-Man 3, if not in "Doctor Strange in the
Multiverse of Madness."
She has also recently
won her first Emmy award (Lead Actress in the Drama Series) courtesy of her
performance in "Euphoria."
