Microsoft Rolls Out New Features for “Your Phone” App

Yes, you heard that right. Microsoft has rolled out two new features for the “Your Phone” application. Now, the “Your Phone” app can also run at the startup in Windows 10, and it has the tendency to even change the behavior of the applications on the system.

Microsoft’s objective to improve the performance and responsiveness of the “Your Phone” app continues. This application can efficiently connect every iOS and Android handset with your Windows 10 PC or Laptop. It offers you an individual, compact view to easily manage every task. Lumia’s recent tweet unveiled these two features that Microsoft has recently announced for its “Your Phone” application. As of now, these two features are probably introduced in a beta version; however, they will be available to use within a few days.

The New “Your Phone” Features

There are two new features that Microsoft has rolled out for the “Your Phone” application. We have discussed them in detail below:

What’s New page

As the title suggests, this newly added feature, on a single click, will open up a new page on which all the information related to the new features will be available that will let the user know about the recently added applications and features in only a glance, rather than searching every page for new updates. Everything will be available to view on launching the What’s New page.

App Startup Toggle

The second feature that Microsoft has launched for the “Your Phone” app, is the “App Startup Toggle.”. On activating this feature, the “Your Phone” app will launch, whenever you boot up your Windows 10 device.

The instant connection of your PC/Laptop with your handset will save some of your time. This feature can be activated from the Personalization panel, where you have to toggle the dedicated “App Startup” toggle button. In case, you want to turn it off after some time; you can either again use the “App Startup” option in your Task Manager or use the app for it.

Please note that while you enable this feature, another application will get added to your list of apps or programs that get loaded while you turn on your system, thereby putting a bit more strain on your PC/Laptop. Also, too many apps opening together may slow down your system’s time to boot up.

Conclusion

So, this was all about the recently released feature of Microsoft for its “Your Phone” application. If you do not have access to this app yet, then get it from the official Microsoft Store for free and check out the latest features by yourself.

The introduction of the Instagram carousel solved all these issues at once. The users could now upload up to 10 pictures in a single post.  It eliminated the un...
